Re: Disney+ for Australia?

Went to a friends house a week ago and finally saw One Day at Disney.  Really loved it.  I barely get time for the few free-to-air shows I record, however I would like to subscribe at some point and see more of the documentaries and some behind the scenes shows.

Re: COVID19 Thread

To be honest, watching all the news out of the US at the moment is like watching some apocalyptic movie.  Greg  I just can't believe it; I won't say more though as I don't want to start politics here (or at all really).  I am glad at this stage my Oct/Nov trip will be cancelled.  Still waiting on Q...

Re: COVID19 Thread

Thanks Keith, I was starting to sort my Shanghai photos today and reading all the Facebook posts I so wanted to go back and be at the opening!  Of course that's more a dream world as the thought of a deadly virus still roaming will keep me at home for a little while longer.  I feel locals will head ...

Re: COVID19 Thread

That's fantastic prices Greg and nice that you're helping those less fortunate.  It certainly is tough times for many and I am suddenly much more grateful for my job!  I think those of us earning money are saving at the moment with less opportunities to spend.  My savings will certainly be going on ...

Re: Disneyland Anaheim Closes

Would you be willing to pay more if it meant smaller crowds, shorter lines with more spacing? I agree though that the logistics of keeping a place like Disneyland sterile between riders would be horrendous. I have a feeling that places like Theme Parks are way down the governments list of places to...

Re: COVID19 Thread

It's been a busy time for me between Pilates, camera club and catching up with friends and family over Messenger Video calls and Zoom - I'm catching up with people more frequently as we all have more time and nobody needs to travel.  I'm also slowly sorting my photos from China.  Thanks to the Govt...

Re: Disneyland Anaheim Closes

Will be interesting to see when each of the parks opens and what they put in place, there's talk they'll limit numbers and increase prices - hard as that would be, it's where things are heading.  I wonder if face character greetings, fireworks, parades, etc will take longer to come back and if they ...

Re: COVID19 Thread

Again, a lovely gesture from Disney.  Perhaps as it had been out overseas for a short while, they didn't want to re-release it later.  I notice they've moved the release dates for other movies including Mulan which I believe has been rescheduled for June.  I wonder if cinemas will be back in action ...

Re: 2020 Club Meetings

It was a great movie night last night, with I think about 12 people + kids (Gerard - glad you were able to come in on the second meeting).  Was fun hearing the kid's perspectives and input - Mackenzie knows her trivia!  Having not seen Mulan in a while it was great to see it again and listen to the ...

Re: COVID19 Thread

Sounds amazing Greg!  Of course I have too much 'stuff' and would miss decorating each season. Certainly would be a great thing for many people though. The days I work I'm in the office, however I'm learning different work to assist others.  Hopefully once this is over my boss will trust us more to ...

Re: COVID-19 - Shanghai

I guess in China it was much easier to enforce social distancing than it is in a western country...and that has had a remarkable effect of slowing the spread of the virus.  They are now trying that in Italy, so it'll be interesting to see if the lock-down there has a similar effect. I see a cast me...

Re: Bob Iger steps down effective immediately!

Haha ok maybe I'm not so bad - on the Club trip in 2018 I was texting with Lauren, Instagram messaging Rebecca (& Lauren), Facebook messaging Brad, WhatsApp with Keith and emailing Wayne.  It was a lot of thinking for a holiday. I think it was DisBoards that I kept clicking on links before realising...

Re: COVID19 Thread

I'm with you Karen - I imagine Disney+ and the online store are the only remaining consumer income stream for Disney at the moment.  Sure they are getting advertising revenue from their television affiliates, but direct I can only think of those other two straight from consumers themselves.  So I t...

Re: COVID19 Thread

And speaking of Onward - I see they are releasing it onto Disney+ in the US on 2 April!  Amazing that it has only been in cinemas a couple of weeks.  I guess they realise they cannot make any more money from it in the US now so they're releasing it on the streaming service. I doubt they'll do that ...
