Re: Magic in the Mediterranean

As for Villefranche, almost everyone we spoke to said they did their own thing as the train is just at the top of the hill (buses are filled near the half way point and it's very cramped - I have no idea why people try to park in such difficult locations). It is a steep trek to get up there but then...

Re: Magic in the Mediterranean

I also want to add that if you get the chance to visit Dubai you must do two things - visit the Lost Chambers aquarium - free for Atlantis hotel guests but US$37 for non guests! Just beautiful and much more intimate than the mega mall offerings. And also Ferrari World in Abu Dabi - the cab ride was ...

Re: Magic in the Mediterranean

In Barcelona we stayed at Amister Apartments. We booked through hotels.com - beware although the website claims that you don't pay ANYTHING until arrival, the hotel themselves charges your ccard one night as a deposit (refundable in full up until 30 days prior to check in). I booked two rooms for ou...

Re: Magic in the Mediterranean

As we had just spent a few $$$ on DVC I couldn't believe he would buy ANYTHING else, so what did he buy? A painting of Sorcerer Mickey!!! The one I casually mentioned was nice on my way to dinner one night. OMGosh I love that man! We collected our prints and ordered the CD - another $500 when you in...

Re: Magic in the Mediterranean

presentation. We went ahead with a one on one meeting and still didn't sign as we wanted to think about whether we could actually use the points in the three years...yes really we had to think about this one! Their computers were down when we went to sign so they pushed us back to the next sea day.....

Re: Magic in the Mediterranean

Day 7 was Turkey and we couldn't book the DCL tour we wanted as it was full so we booked a private van (thru DCL) that seated 12px for just the 9 of us. It included a driver and a guide and it was a bargain! Our whole group was hot and bothered early on as we had gone from 13 degrees in Perth/Sydney...

Re: Magic in the Mediterranean

oops... In France we did Monacco, Monte Carlo & Eze - interesting as a once only visit but found that DCL herds you around and our tour guide was a little condescending. My youngest DS was bored until we had free time which we spent at Maccas and a game arcade-lol. Next day was Pisa/Florence. We hir...

Re: Magic in the Mediterranean

Trip was awesome! Back to reality now... Stayed at Atlantis in Dubai - fantastic! Waterpark looks HUGE but lazy river is just long, other parts more compact, still great though very hot! Did the touristy things like the two mega malls (including the ski slope) and Burj Khalifa Next up was Disneyland...

Re: Disney Magic Upgrade

My DS reported to us that the Magic was going to dry dock for a makeover. Not quite what I thought I'd hear him say after returning from his second stint at the Oceaneer's Club-lol. It seems Disney is employing some kid pester power to fill up the Magic after it's renovations! Anyhow they needn't ha...

Re: Less than three months to go!

Ohhh so exciting 86 days! I hope you do a TR about staying onsite at DLR. 09 Sept is my wedding anniversary too! I hope all my Vegas with kids info was helpful and you enjoy your time there. I'm very jealous of you doing the WIWF tour too. I hope to do it next July when we visit LA. I'll be helping ...

Ohhh I'm so jealous!

We don't have any plans for a WDW trip in the next 2 years...Paris in July 2013 and Anahiem in July 2014...

Will you be there at the end of SWW? When is the Dwarves Mine Ride opening? I want to go to Epcot right now! -/

Re: A couple of questions on DLP

We did end up booking Hotel Newport Bay for 6 nights in July for 952 POUNDS! Awesome deal as it includes park tix and breakfast on the Admiral floor. We are not using Disney express but have booked a private van for all nine of us from airport and back. We did not book any city tours yet but are pla...

You can actually upgrade anytime right up until the last day of your ticket. eg on a two day ticket, you can add on on the second day if you like.

Re: Tokyo June 2013 trip

I have photos of the Lilo meal but I cannot figure how to post them here. (If you want to PM I can email them).

The Woody meal was similar to the Hoop dee doo meal at WDW. Served family style and refilled if required. Rolls, chicken pieces, vegies and apple pie style dessert.
