Day 1 - Wednesday 15 Jan 2020 After perhaps a couple of hours sleep/dozing we arrived tired but ready for a day at Disney. Everything was quick and easy (other than finding which baggage carousel was ours which was quiet funny as we're walking all the way down to 9 and then assumed it would be clos...
We've pre-purchased our park tickets for Hong Kong and we're at the airport waiting for our 00:40 departure! Hopefully I'll sleep on the plane. We'll be at Hong Kong Disney nice and early so will make the most of our first day, although may need an afternoon nap or just crash early. I worked toda...
I'll be very interested to hear how it is. Are you going to be there for Chinese New Year? Greg Yes, we'll be in Shanghai for Chinese New Year. It's going into Year of the Rat which is my year so I've been planning this for a couple of years. We know it'll be crazy busy but we'll have at least 4 ...
My trip to China is now less than 3 weeks away. With tensions settling at times, we'd decided to go into the city for a few hours on a week day however it appears there's often train line changes and closures with people creating disturbances or throwing things on the tracks. We'll now be staying ...
Saw this yesterday and really enjoyed it. Loved the music and the storyline held up well on its own and thankfully didn't feel like they were just making a sequel for the money. I will say it was kind of easy to see where certain things would lead - that doesn't detract though as these are technica...
Brisbane would need to rely on outer regions to host an Olympics
Comm Games went well from what I know, I saw Rhythmic Gymnastics - transport, security etc was all managed very well
I didn't realise that about the olympics...that would make three pretty cool trips (but very expensive ones!). I'm glad I lived in Sydney in 2000 - I think that'll be the only Olympics I'll ever experience. I believe Brisbane is bidding for an Olympics - I just hope that means we get a Disney Park...
No, I never saw it and haven't spoken to anyone who did! Hmmm, I wonder what that might indicate. :-) Greg My sister only went as a friend wanted to go. She didn't enjoy it a lot and felt it was very dark but she liked the ending; she also told me not to bother going as it probably wasn't my thing...
I'm very keen to see both the Imagineering Story and One Day at Disney. At this stage I haven't activated my 7 day trial as I haven't had time (crazy busy few months). I'm sure it will stay up for sometime so maybe that's a March goal! Great to hear these are well done so will be worth it once I ...
and "waste bags" - I can't imagine having to use one of them in a gondola full of strangers! But if you've gotta go... Everyone walking underneath would really appreciate it though. I guess it would add to the "shared experience". Greg Note to self: dehydrate prior to getting on the Skyliner. Love...
Sorry you were unwell Gerard. The meeting was a lot of fun this week - I thought all the talks about the Expo, Star Wars, and the Haunted Mansion were fantastic. Wayne forgot to mention his surprise until late in the evening - so if you left early, you might have missed it. He was interviewed on S...
It is going to be a great meeting this Saturday night - Wayne has got a surprise announcement about what he's been up to, as well as some interesting stories from the D23 Expo and Disneyland Resort. Sounds amazing, but sadly I can't make it. Have a fantastic meeting, I'm sure it will be super inte...
Don't get me wrong - I'm still happy for the doco and book! But when there was so much talk about it being something like a new park...well, it was a bit anti-climatic! Haha, yes I can see how that would be anti-climatic. I think there was so much coming out about changes and new developments my b...
