Re: Happy New Years Eve

We saw the new year in trying to get home from the early fireworks at Glenelg Beach... which was wonderful... but then took 2 1/2 hours ( usually 40 mins) to get home as the public transport which got smashed to the point of people nearly falling out of bus doors when they opened.  Never seen anythi...

Re: Disney is about to start charging for its Fastpass system

so what they already do in WDW for free is now at a cost in DLR and if its a success will be rolled out across the globe... I'm undecided... I think it takes away the ability to spontaneously change tack, which was my biggest annoyance at WDW - the need to be so tightly scheduled or miss out on stuf...

Re: Cruise to Hong Kong, Shanghai and Japan

I've actually looked at doing a cruise through Asia to take in the parks, but still haven't found one that I like enough yet.

Re: Rogue One (spoilers)

I saw this today as well... LOVED IT! Gotta say though, that even though I knew it was essential to the plot, I wasn't happy to see all these characters I'd bonded with die.  When the first of the group died, I got this sinking feeling that they were about to throw a red wedding at me and I was just...

Re: Star Wars Episode VIII

Debbie Reynolds dying has just blown me away. One of my favourite movies is Singin' In The Rain and I read her autobiography recently. Broken heart absolutely.  Of course I was expecting it,  George Michael, Carrie Fisher...there had to be a third.  Greg  yep, Debbie Reynolds was one of my earliest...

Re: Photos

I just found out the Fuji camera I borrowed recently the photos don't show up in Bridge.  Apparently I need to do an update although need to increase my data download limit first.  Try doing an update in Lightroom, hopefully it you click on or run your mouse over 'help' it will come up in the optio...

Re: Photos

I wonder if it may be the format of the harddrive. Sometimes programs are particular about whether a drive is NTFS or FAT32. Greg Hmmm... hadn't thought of that... thanks :)   I'll look into it, and now that I think of it, the first time I tried importing them some Jpegs that I had on the same HD d...

Re: Star Wars Episode VIII

yep, I had read that CGI is a possibility for the last installment.  Such sad news that her mother (Debbie Reynolds) also passed only 1 day later... officially from a stroke but I'm betting its a broken heart... Vale to both of them.  I really am very sad over their passing.

Re: Photos

Gee 9000 that'll keep you busy!  Great to hear so many shoot in RAW and I'm not the only one processing loads of photos.  I use PhotoShop, but use the Canon software to download and don't have issues opening anything in PhotoShop when I need it.   I also take some shots to hopefully use as a backgr...

Re: Photos

I came home with over 9000.  All RAW files You win :D And I really thought I was not going as overboard as I was.    Keep in mind though, it was a first for all the places I was visiting so I'll probably only take a fraction of that many next time....  ok... yeah... I probably will take a gazi...

Re: Photos

OK, 9000 is impressive.   Just imagine how many rolls of film that would have been back in the day. Greg yep, thats horrific to contemplate.... my first Disney trip back in the day was with a film camera and I took a whole two rolls of film... kinda regret that now... wish I'd taken dozens m...

Re: Keith and Della's Shanghai/Tokyo Trip 2017

I'm also keen to read about your trip too Keith, cos that is my plan for late this next year to do HKDL, SHDL and finish in Tokyo.  Or something like it anyway... Millie is still keen to add in Beijing and Seoul as well.  Or we'll chop that up into other bitesized trips... nothing set in stone yet.

Re: Photos

ok... well, I'm a little embarrassed to admit this but my last trip (Universal/WDW/cruise) I came home with over 9000.  All RAW files, which, when I've edited them, I save as both a TIFF and jPEG.  I will only edit the ones I intend to use though.  My current issue - which I've stepped away from unt...

Re: Future Club Trip

Hmmm.... interesting...

Late 2018  was the time I was planning another trip to the US for Disney, although, as I've done a Halloween cruise was planning a Christmas one.
