Re: Just over a month to go...

Wow - it has been one year already since the park opened.  I was just enjoying re-reading all the posts in the Shanghai forum from way in 2009.  If you have the time, it is worth checking them out again as we speculated on what it would be like :)

Re: 2017 Club Meetings

Don't forget everyone - meeting is on next weekend!

Who's up for dinner at the Bankstown Sport Club again beforehand?  Della and I will be there at 5:30pm!

Re: Moana (spoilers)

Were you a Firefly fan Greg?

He is a great actor - has done a lot of voice acting for Disney over the years.

Re: Dating Fabric

It sounds quite old if it has Walt Disney Productions on the fabric.  I would love to see a photo.  To get some accurate knowledge though, you might need to send a photo to the Walt Disney Archives - if it is rare, they might want it!

Re: D23 membership

We love it just for the magazine.  I think it would be better value if you were in the US so that you could attend more of the D23 events though.  It is expensive to be a Gold member when you factor in the magazine shipping costs.

I wonder how much is too much though.

That's the $1 million question isn't it!  I would think it would lose some of the magic - but when you consider how fanatical the annual passholders in Anaheim are who go there every week, then maybe it wouldn't - I just don't know!

Re: Despicable Me 3

That's a shame.  I really liked the first two movies.  Minions was terrible though so I guess it continues the downhill spiral for them.

Re: 2018 Club Trip

I'm a big advocate for Disney cruises. Once you've done one, there will be no turning back. Karen - I'd never been on anything larger than the Manly ferry until we went on a 7-night cruise on the Disney Fantasy. Della and I were paranoid about sea sickness, but in the end - we had no ill effects at ...

Re: Greg's May 2017 visit

I rate Tokyo Disneysea as my favourite park in the world. Even when it is insanely busy it is still fantastic. Wish I was there right now to tell the truth! LOL

Re: On or off site

My turn :) Yep - we prefer staying onsite and I agree with Karen - The Art of Animation is a great spot (as is Pop Century). It is pretty central to everything but has better theming than Pop Century. I also think Art of Animation has the best food court of all the value resorts. It is a bit more ex...

Wow - that was a bargain Greg!  I like Hong Kong too.  I wonder if they'll have started work on the big expansion by then?  You'll have to give us an update on progress :)

Just a deposit. We paid about $900. I have about a year to pay the rest!
