Re: The Disney Store

It was higher price, but much better quality than Kmart-type stuff.  We loved the Disney Store.

I must have been shopping beside you during that time Mel - I was also working in Parramatta at the time and was at the Disney Store nearly every lunchtime!!

Re: Anyone else playing Kingdoms?

Glad you problem was solved.

Yes - I liked The Lion King for that reason too - it was achievable.  I'm concerned this Aladdin one won't be as easy as I've had nothing drop yet and have been trying all morning! Arghhh.

Re: Today's Disney News from the front page...

I guess that buying and owning Netflix and keeping it as Netflix would enable them to show things (and keep making original shows) that would not fit as comfortably under a "Disney" branded service. Yes - I thought that too, but then I started to worry that the whack-jobs out there may st...

Re: Anyone else playing Kingdoms?

Well the new update landed this morning on my iPad.  I think the actual Aladdin event begins tonight.  It is another timed event which is a bit nasty as I'm still recovering from the Lion King.  There are seven new characters to get.  Have fun :)

Re: Today's Disney News from the front page...

Netflix would be worth a lot - but so was Pixar, Marvel and Lucasfilm.  Maybe its value is too much and that ship might have sailed.  Time will tell :)

Re: The Disney Store

No - I don't think they did, in fact I'm pretty sure they didn't even have a website for advertising.  Disney's presence (particularly Disney Australia) on the internet back in those days was pretty poor.

Re: Anyone else playing Kingdoms?

Hmmm - I haven't had the Timon and Pumba problem - they are working okay for me.  Maybe wait for the next update?  There appears to be an Aladdin update coming soon based on the pop up advertisement in game the other day. Yes - Mowgli took ages to unlock!  I was disappointed that the Alien requires ...

Re: Cars 3 ( could be spoilers)

It is the first time I can remember that a real race car has had livery similar to that in the movie.  They've had plenty of race cars with Cars advertising on them - but they were just like movie poster advertising, rather than an attempt to look like the actual Cars vehicle livery.

Re: Club Member Travel Thread

Haha - that is funny.

I've always thought of South Korea as a grey place...even when they hosted the Olympics back in 1988 it never looked appealing... (with all due respect to our South Korean friends!!!)

Re: Today's Disney News from the front page...

The whole Disney pulling out of Netflix is interesting.  I was wondering if that was just a ploy to reduce the Netflix share price before them stepping in to snap it up.  Disney do like to buy established brands and Netflix is the biggest brand in that video streaming area.  It would seem unlikely t...

Re: 2017 Club Meetings

It was a fun meeting on Saturday night.  It mainly focused on Wayne's trip to the D23 Expo. Wayne provided a full rundown of the event from the moment he arrived in Anaheim and all the exciting panels and announcements that occurred. Wayne had a number of panel videos that he showed, then he intersp...

Re: Anyone else playing Kingdoms?

So - how did everyone fare with the Lion King event.  I really enjoyed that one and it didn't require me to push too hard to get it completed.  I got all the characters quite easily in the end.  I also liked that they've begun opening up other areas of the park.  Now if only they'd open up the secti...
